Darlington County Busted Mugshots is a private reference site, not a government office. It cannot confirm custody or release, retrieve an official booking record, post bond, or act for a person in custody. Contact the responsible public office directly for those services.

Official Records Contacts

Use the contact that holds the type of record needed. Darlington County Sheriff's Office is the county booking-custody and FOIA contact, while Lamar Police holds its own municipal incident-report materials. The Clerk of Court holds judicial files, and SCDC is the custodian for people serving state-prison sentences.

  • For a current adult county-custody check or recent release, use the official W. Glenn Campbell portal described on the Darlington County booking and records page.
  • For an adult booking record or a lawfully releasable booking photograph, use the DCSO FOIA request route.
  • For a Lamar Police incident report, contact Lamar Police at 117 W. Main Street, Lamar, SC 29069, non-emergency 843-326-5555, or ask the Town Clerk at 843-326-5551 for the records custodian.
  • For a filed court case or a certified court record, use the Darlington public court index or the Clerk of Court at 110 N. Main St., Darlington, SC 29532, 843-398-4330.
  • For a possible local warrant, contact the Sheriff through the published main line or use court and legal counsel channels. The Most Wanted Fugitives page explains the absence of a verified public local warrant-name portal.
  • For a person currently sentenced to state prison, start with the SCDC offender search; it does not identify a just-booked county detainee.
  • For a federal-prison or immigration detainee question, use the relevant official BOP locator or ICE detainee locator, each of which covers a different federal custody system.
